A stunning entrance to your home! Nothing compares to a paver driveway which adds a ton of curb appeal to your property. Since pavers are made using pressed concrete they can support the weight of cars and small trucks. Just like with any driveway, it is all about the base and how it is compacted. With the correct sub-base, compaction, and experience your paver driveway will last as long, or longer than traditional asphalt or concrete.
There are two ways you can install pavers, standard and permeable. Permeable pavers are laid on open grade aggregate, not dense grade. We would install about 12 inches of 1 ½ inch stones, 6 inches of ¾ inch stone, and an inch of ¼ inch stone. Pavers with more significant gaps between the joints are laid on top and then filled with a ¼ inch stone to allow rain and water to drain directly through the pavers and into the soil and not into the city streets. It’s more environmentally friendly. Click here to learn more about permeable pavers.
Lamacchia Landscape Construction can meet all your asphalt needs. The appearance of your driveway creates an impression about your home and way of life. An inviting driveway provides a focal point for passers-by and visitors approaching your home. An attractive driveway, one with “curb appeal,” adds value to your home investment. In fact, homebuyers may even prejudge the upkeep and condition of the house based upon the condition of the driveway: “The condition of the driveway sets the tone for the condition of the home,” real estate agent Amanda Miller told The New York Times. So it is worthwhile to plan your driveway carefully. With asphalt as your material — and attention to design and construction — your driveway will provide years of lasting service and an excellent return on the investment. – National Asphalt Pavement Association
